Till now the Cheerleaders on cricket field are considered as major attraction for viewers but, this trend has been changed during IPL match when Pune Warriors and Delhi Daredevils came across. Pune Warriors team revealed a new outstanding concept at D.Y. Patil Sports Complex in Navi Mumbai, India to encourage team players. The Cheer leaders replaced with traditionally dressed Cheer Queens.
Subrata Roy, Managing Worker Chairman of Sahara India Pariwar proposed this idea to implement in IPL. These cheer queens had been worn different Indian ethnic dance costumes for cheering Pune team. They performed seven classical dance forms such as Bharata Natyam, Haryanvi dance, Punjabi ‘Bhangra’, Bengali folk dance, Gujarati ‘Garba’, Maharashtrian 'Lavni’ and Mohiniyattam.
Kolkata-based dancer, Tanusree Shankar together with Mumbai-based choreographer, Ganesh Hegde choreographed the all dance steps of Cheer Queens. The outfits of cheer queens were designed by the ace Bollywood designer, Neeta Lulla. Style of costumes is mainly based on Indianized tradition and shows more whites in addition to other colors.

Millions of Indian people and billions of people from worldwide like to watch Cricket matches.
