IPL fever has gripped millions of cricket fans not only in the India but also in different parts of the world. Every year, cricket lovers eagerly wait for IPL, the biggest and most watched tournament in the world. The seventh season of this Twenty 20 championship league is quite near and just like other seasons, teams will compete against each other. No other information about IPL 2014 has been revealed till now, except auction date and new player rules. The auction of players will happen on 12th and 13th February, 2014. The Pepsi IPL 2014 Player Auction will include various new player rules. The players can be auctioned in Indian rupees but overseas auction can be in United States dollars. The team can match the highest bid and buy a player from their last season squad. The team must contain 16 to 27 players (9 overseas players). The Salary Cap of the squad will be Rs. 60 crore for IPL 7, which will increase by 5% p.a. for next two seasons. IPL league fee will be excluded from the players' salaries. Qualifying teams have to pay 10% of the IPL league fee to every player, who represents them.

Corey AndersonCorey Anderson would be one of the expensive players in the auction due to its new world-record. Recently, he created a new world-record for the fastest ODI hundred in January, 2014, breaking the record of Shahid Afridi. He made a century in just 36-ball in ODI against West Indies.
Joe Root
The Yorkshire batsman helps England to win the 2013 Ashes series. He is a part of the England central contract 2013-14. He made 173 runs in the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy tournament. He scored two Test centuries since his Test debut (December, 2012). He played 31 Twenty20 matches, in which he scored 501 runs.
Alex Hales
The England player, Alex Hales is one of the top ranked batsmen in the ICC Twenty20 rankings. He has an experience of playing twenty-one T20 internationals. He scored 94 in 61 balls against Australia in the second Twenty20 International. He has extended his contract with Nottinghamshire till 2016, so he can play in the next three consecutive IPL seasons. The world’s No 1 T20 batsman is the 1st England international to spend full seasons at the IPL through an agreement with his primary employers.
Kushal Janith Perera
Kushal Perera was a part of Rajasthan Royals in IPL 6. He played two matches for the team in IPL 6 and scored only 14 runs. This left-handed batsman-cum-wicket-keeper played a total of 47 Twenty20 matches in his career from which nine was with Sri Lanka.
Ravi Bopara
Bopara was a part of Kings XI Punjab in the IPL2 and IPL3. For the last two years, he remained unsold in the auction. He scored 2918 runs in 153 Twenty20 matches. The batsman is the top player in the Twenty20 Big Bash in Australia. Franchises can purchase Bopara on the cheap in the auction and he could prove to be a great value for money for franchisees.
Mitchell McClenaghan
This left-arm fast bowler may be one of the upcoming overseas players in the auction. He is famous for his consistent performances in the domestic circuit. He played all New Zealand's ODI and T20 in 2013. He was among the leading wicket-takers in the Champions Trophy. He is the best choice for franchisees because of his knack of picking up crucial wickets at the right time.
Henry Davids
The South African cricketer, Henry Davids was remained unsold in IPL6. This hard-hitting middle-order batsman and an appealing off-spin bowler has played 96 Twenty20 matches, in which he scored 1889 runs. He played an important role in the Cape Cobras qualification in the Champions LeagueT20 inaugural.
Michael Klinger
He was the part of the Kochi Tuskers Kerala team in IPL6. Michael made more than 1000 runs in the County Championship. He has played 64 Twenty20 matches and scored 1762 runs.
